Children's Hospital Gowns Sewing Project

Every Monday, 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM, from 03/01/2010 to 05/01/2010

Hearts In Motion, the organization with whom several LIFEChurch members have traveled, sends volunteer surgical teams throughout the year to perform surgeries at the Zacapa Hospital in Guatemala, and many patients are small children. Consequently, there is a need for small hospital gowns.

The pattern is simple - a gown could take as little as a yard to 2 yards of fabric and maybe an hour to sew. There are only a few seams, velco at the shoulders and ties on the back of each gown. If you have a portable sewing machine, let us know; other supplies such as cutting boards, scissors, cotton or cotton blend fabric, thread and buttons will also be needed.

If you would like to be a part of our sewing group, please contact Marcia McGinnis at 281.684.9741 or , and she will get in together with this special sewing group.
