LIFEMissions

Fire and Passion, Salt and Light

You've experienced the power inside the walls; engulfed in the comfort of Him, with the world and its troubles safely behind closed doors. You've let the music overcome you. The passion overwhelms you. Does it burn within you to reach beyond those walls? To share with others that which you have received? To know that you are a part of a life that is forever changed? Reach out. Inspire something great. Impassion a heart. LIFEMissions.

  1. Evangelical Covenant Church . . . has been working in Haiti before the earthquake and will be there long after the TV cameras are gone. By their actions we know that the money is used in ways that get to the people of Haiti and not spent on administrative overhead or other projects. You can learn more about their philosophy and make donations at covchurch.org or go directly to the Covenant World Relief link.
  2. Two other ministries . . . The following story was local news in Austin, Minnesota. Judi Needham (Diane Diekmann's sister), her husband, and niece are going on this trip called "Jesus in Haiti" . . . www.jesusinhaiti.org. David and Diane personally know the founder, Caleb Lucien, of another ministry in the Northern part of Haiti (Pignon) that is very involved in relief efforts. The website for Caleb's ministry is www.hosean.org. Read an excerpt. Both are reputable small ministries worth supporting in addition to the larger well–known organizations.

The Faithful Head to Haiti: AUSTIN, Minnesota---Whether you describe it as a call from heaven, or just good timing, members of one church group already planned on traveling to Haiti, before Tuesday's devastating earthquake. The planning process for members of Faith Evangelical Free church started before Christmas. Judi Needham said, “Originally we planned to work with an orphanage, a school, there's a ministry for people who live and basically survive out of a dump.” But now, the 21 travelers aren't really sure what they'll be doing when they land in July. Needham said it'll likely involve some rebuilding. Regardless, the group made of young and old, just want to show the love of Jesus to the people in Haiti.

3.Kids Against Hunger . . . need money (less than $12,500) to complete a shipment of their special food to Haiti. Their work is extremely impressive. They've been in Haiti for sometime and had been making progress in battling malnutrition in Haiti. To make donations or check them out click here.
